I somehow have two wiki accounts and want to delete one. How do I do this?
My user acct that I want to remove is: "wiki-mddc" Thanks. --Wiki-mddc (talk) 22:00, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Wiki-mddc It is not possible to delete an account. It is possible to vanish an account, following the process described at WP:VANISH, but if you have no or minimal contributions on the other account it would be best to just sign out of it and not use it again. Also, account names always begin with a capital letter, so "wiki-mddc" and "Wiki-mddc" are the same account. Toadspike [Talk] 13:50, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
Viewing deleted topic
[edit]Hi Toadspike I recently came across reference to a deleted article Megan Machin. The name rang a tiny bell, so I chased up what I could find about her, and have started an article in userspace User:Doug butler/Megan Machin. I could find no information on why it was deleted and it probably doesn't matter, but it may be relevant to what I have done. May I please have a copy? Doug butler (talk) 01:36, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Doug butler Are you sure you've spelled it correctly? Megan Machin has never been deleted (see logs). Toadspike [Talk] 06:34, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry to have bothered you. Thanks for doing the check; It will have to remain a mystery. Doug butler (talk) 07:56, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
how do I stop this page from being deleted --Patelrl (talk) 11:04, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Patelrl You need to find three good sources that show the subject is notable. This is summarized at WP:42. Most importantly, you need to find independent sources which are not connected to the subject herself. Her LinkedIn, for instance, does not count towards establishing notability.
