My Life With the Walter Boys season 4 is officially on the way, but before we even get there, we have our first look, first trailer, and a confirmed release date for season 3.
Though news of a fourth season shook the fandom when it broke, My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 is now inching closer than ever and we have a peek. Aside from our main triangle, there are some new faces headed to Silver Falls, Colorado, home of the chaotic yet charming Walter family. Do these new characters spell trouble for the love triangle of Jackie, Cole, and Alex? You'll have to wait and see—but here's what we know for now.
The show, based on Ali Novak's Wattpad novel of the same name, originally hit Netflix on December 7, 2023, with a sophomore season following suit on August 28, 2025. It's about Jackie Howard, a 15-year-old Manhattanite whose whole life is turned upside down after she loses her parents and sister in an accident. Jackie moves to Silver Falls, Colorado, to live with her guardian, Dr. Katherine Walter, who was her mother's best friend at Columbia University, and her sprawling family—including two sons who fall for Jackie.

The first 10-episode season of My Life with the Walter Boys was a massive hit. Within days of its premiere, the show claimed the top spot on Netflix's Global English Top 10 TV List, with over 20 million views and counting. It also reached the Top 10 in 88 countries worldwide. The show was renewed for a third season even before season two had premiered. And now season four is following suit.

Is there a trailer for My Life With The Walter Boys season 3?
Yes! After much anticipation, Netflix unveiled the official trailer for My Life With The Walter Boys season three on July 15. In the trailer, which you can watch below, we see Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole (Noah LaLonde) after what happened in the season two finale aaand we let the drama unfold once more! (Seems like we need to buckle up—or saddle up—because LaLonde told Tudum he thinks this "is the best season.")
"You know, that night, I meant what I said," Jackie tells Cole at the beginning of the trailer, only to be immediately shut down—at least for now. We also get a peek at how George's medical mishap (which we still don't fully know what it is) will affect the family, and, of course, new faces also come into the picture. The trailer introduces a new character named Eliot (more on him below), who seems to have a storied history with Jackie and who will try to pull her back to her old life. Sooo, does that mean we'll get a new love triangle? Or is he just a friend? Only time will tell but we are also wondering ourselves!

Netflix confirmed that My Life With The Walter Boys season three will be released on August 6, 2026, so mark your calendars and set your alarms now. Netflix unveiled the date alongside the very first look at the season, which you can see below. Netflix previously announced the show had been officially renewed for season three on May 14, 2025.

Much like the previous seasons, season three of My Life With The Walter Boys will also feature 10 episodes. And you can expect the drama to kick in from the get-go. Speaking to Tudum, Nikki Rodriguez, who plays Jackie, teased that "so much happens in the first episode." She added: "For the first time, this season [Jackie] does start to put herself first."

Are there any more photos from My Life With The Walter Boys season 3?
There are indeed, and there's loads to unpack. Netflix released the first 10 pictures from My Life With The Walter Boys season three on June 24, 2026. In the pics, we see Alex and Jackie having a serious one-on-one at the farm.
We also get a peek at a shirtless encounter between Cole and Jackie, and get a shot of Katherine on her own, which could be more ominous than we think. The first-look pics also tease Cole's race-car driver arc and Alex's rodeo arc. And, reminding us that the main triangle isn't the only people in love in the Walter household, we also see a pic of Danny and Erin holding hands. (Could it be making a promise? WE'll have to wait and see!)

What will My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 be about?
🚨 SPOILER ALERT FOR THE SEASON 2 FINALE🚨
Season two of My Life With the Walter Boys ends on a massive cliffhanger, after Cole and Jackie confess their love to each other, with not only Alex oversharing but also Cole and Alex's father, George, suffering a medical emergency right nearby. And it has been confirmed by Netflix that season three will pick up right after season two's massive cliff-hanger. It's worth noting that season three might have a chance to steer in any direction, with no direct book as a reference. The official logline for the season, as shared by Netflix, is as follows: "The path of true love never runs smooth, especially in Silver Falls. The last time we saw the Walters, Jackie and Cole finally confessed their love for each other, only for Jackie's boyfriend—and Cole's brother—Alex to overhear. But their conversation was interrupted when Walter patriarch George was rushed to the hospital. Season three sees the Walters realize what's important in the fallout from this—and discover that it's okay to go after what you want. With their love lives still hanging in the balance, Alex turns to his new rodeo riding team, and Cole gets back in the driver's seat of his life, literally, when a racecar driver sees potential in him. Meanwhile, Jackie pours her heart into developing the town's community space. But when a childhood friend arrives from New York, the life she left behind proves harder to forget than she expected."
"I love the teenage stories and what we do with those characters. But I think we have a lot of potential to tell stories that are intergenerational. I'd love to be able to do more of that in Season three," creator Melanie Halsall told Tudum. Speaking to Variety, she continued: "The love triangle is fantastic, of course, and I could see how audiences would be really drawn to that. But what I also loved about it was the ensemble around that … You have all these characters you can create stories for, focusing on the love triangle in the middle."
Speaking to Deadline, Halsall also explained that "this season has been about Jackie struggling with her identity and wanting to cement herself in Silver Falls and in the family" and that "with George's collapse, [she] wanted to blow a hole in the entire family set-up at the end – not just in the love triangle." She added: "We're at the beginning of filming and there is a huge amount of story still to come. I can't say what those things will be, but I can say that we will be delving even deeper into the lives and loves of our characters in new and unexpected ways."

Who is in the My Life With The Walter Boys cast?
Netflix has officially confirmed that Nikki Rodriguez will be reprising her role as Jackie Howard in season three of My Life With The Walter Boys as a series regular. Noah LaLonde and Ashby Gentry will also return as Cole and Alex Walter, respectively.
The rest of the Walter family (which, if you've watched the show, you'd know, is a lot of people) are also returning for My Life With the Walter Boys season three and include Sarah Rafferty, Marc Blucas, Connor Stanhope, Johnny Link, and Corey Fogelmanis. Jaylan Evans, who plays Skylar Summerhill, became a series regular in season two and will also likely return.
The recurring cast for season two of My Life With the Walter Boys also includes Zoë Soul (who plays Hayley Young), Isaac Arellanes (Isaac Gracia), Myles Perez (Lee Garcia), Alex Quijano (Richard), Ashley Tavares (Tara), Dean Petriw (Jordan Walter), Alix West Lefler (Parker Walter), Lennix James (Benny Walter), Alisha Newton (Erin), Ellie O'Brien (Grace), Kolton Stewart (Dylan), Mya Lowe (Kiley), Gabrielle Jacinto (Olivia), Jesse Lipscombe (Coach Allen), and Nathaniel Arcand (Mato Summerhill). Who are the new cast in My Life With The Walter Boys season 3?
In addition to the returning cast, there will be a handful of new faces to get to know in season three.
Chad Rook is set to appear as a character named Mac, who hires Cole to work on his race cars. Rook previously appeared in IT: Welcome to Derry. We'll also get to know Hannah, George's sister and the mother of Isaac and Lee, played by Erin Karpluk. Hannah left her sons to live with her brother and, when she returns, has "a lot of bridges to rebuild," says Netflix.
Finally, we'll meet Eliot, played by Mighty Ducks: Game Changers actor Naveen Paddock, who is working as an intern for Uncle Richard. According to Netflix, Eliot will "leave Jackie in a tug-of-war between her old life and new one."

Is My Life with the Walter Boys season 4 confirmed?
It is, indeed! Netflix announced at Netflix Upfront 2026 on May 13 that My Life with the Walter Boys season four is officially on the way. News of season four's renewal arrived before season three even hit the streamer. Netflix has also confirmed that season four will premiere in 2027.
"I know I speak for the writers, the cast, and the crew when I say that it is beyond exciting to be returning to the world of Silver Falls for a fourth season," showrunner and executive producer Melanie Halsall told Tudum about the news. "Our story's about love and romance and love triangles and all those teenage trials and tribulations around those things, and we're not going to divert from those—so much, much more of that to come in season four."

Has My Life With The Walter Boys season 4 started filming?
Filming schedules for season four are yet to be disclosed, but given the show is targeting a 2027 release, we'd expect the cameras to start rolling sooner rather than later.
For reference, Netflix confirmed that production for My Life With The Walter season three was underway on August 6, 2025, before season two even premiered. Production for season three was officially completed in early December 2025. Filming for the show took place in Calgary, Canada, so it's likely that season four will follow a similar pattern.
